Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, a special district created 30 years ago by Palm Beach County voters, provides leadership, funding, services and research on behalf of the county’s children so they are born healthy, safe from abuse and neglect,  ready to learn when they enter school, and have access to quality afterschool and summer programming.

 

COMMUNITY PLANNING AND PARTNERSHIP OFFICER

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications

 

The Community Planning and Partnership Officer contributes organizational and subject matter expertise and leadership to community planning and collaborative partnership development that will achieve CSC’s goals and outcomes.   This position builds and manages partnerships with planning and funding bodies, government agencies, community leaders and organizations to advance and refine policy, advocacy and planning issues affecting children and families; explores resource development and revenue maximization opportunities; and participates in national and state-level pilot/demonstration projects. Key responsibilities for this positon include writing community plans and grant applications, gathering data through focus groups, surveys and community indicators; and participating in and leading conversations with community residents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Public Administration, Public Policy, Health, Management, or related field supplemented by six (6) to nine (9) years of progressively increasing responsibility in relationship management, team leadership skills, data collection and analysis, community engagement, and the ability to thrive in a continually changing environment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum requirements listed.
